Kuminda Farm and Cultural Village is off the beaten track and ideal for those who would like to discover the least explored areas of Botswana’s rural landscape and experience some of its culture.

About

Kuminda Farm and Cultural Village

Kuminda Farm and Cultural Village offers a glimpse of traditional rural life in Botswana through its farming methods, dance and music performances, local cuisine, starry nights and accommodation in traditional huts.

Under the guidance of friendly hosts, you’ll learn to cook local dishes using traditional methods, build traditional structures, hike through untouched bush and discover how the indigenous communities live in this area. Alternatively you might just want to relax under a shady tree and soak in the surrounding peace and tranquility.

Rustic architecture and other facilities ensure comfortable accommodation whilst strategically placed camping sites cater for those looking for an intimate and authentic bush experience. You can choose to either cater for yourself or experience the taste of authentic traditional cuisine prepared by your host.

At Kuminda Farm and Cultural Village we try and live as close to nature as possible and we do the following:

  • Beekeeping
  • Worm farming
  • Organic gardening
  • Organic vegetables from our garden
  • Tea garden (we serve herbal and traditional teas from our garden and light meals)
  • Make our own compost
  • Keep goats, chickens, ducks and rabbits
  • A selection of Indigenous trees and aloes

Booking is essential and for groups and those who require traditional food to be prepared we need at least 14 days notice.

The perfect stop-over for travelling groups, either to eat some traditional food, or just relax for a while.
